Story

40 MILE Louise Smalley Challenge Walk - 15 June 2024

A group of us have signed up to the 40 MILE Louise Smalley challenge walk for their 30th Anniversary Year! Between us we have varied experience (lots for some and little to none for others) in walking this far, so we are hoping as a team we will encourage each other to the finish line! To say it will be a big challenge for some of us is an understatement, so your support would be very much appreciated!

If you would like to pop up and support us on the day, the checkpoints are below:

1 – Miller’s Dale Old Station to Carlton Lees

2 – Carlton Lees to Holymoorside Village Hall

3 – Holymoorside to Grassmoor – Boot and Shoe

4 – Grassmoor to Palterton Village Hall

5 – Palterton to Langwith Bassett Community Hall

6 – Langwith Bassett to Elmton

7 – Elmton to Whitwell – THE END

More information on the walk can be found here Louise Smalley walk

The walk is organised by 'Louise Smalley Challenge Walk' and the nominated charity this year by them is 'Just Good Friends Club' jgfc.org.uk

Thank you from The Walking Girls: Tanya Beighton, Emma Swales, Julie King, Laura Burnell, Liz Close, Louise Lowe, Suzanne Leusby, Rachel Ward, Sarah-Jane Marshall, Yvonne Wright, Kerrie Stanton and Demi Madin
