After visiting the rhino orphanage on a recent family trip to South Africa, we are determined to help save the rhinos from poachers who are hunting them for their horns. With less than 10,000 rhinos remaining they will be extinct in approximately the next 6 years. The orphanage is the first dedicated non-commercial centre that cares for orphaned/injured baby rhinos with the aim of releasing them back into the wild.
In the photo, there is a volunteer vet working, unpaid, to rehabilitate this rhino who has lost its mother. Your support will provide basic accommodation for the staff and all the medical attention, food and care the baby rhino needs. For more information, visit www.therhinoorphanage.co.za
