Story
Hi me and my 2 friends are doing the three peak challenge and going to attempt to do it in less then 24 hours weather permitting and we are gonna try to raise abit of awareness and money for our chosen charities
Remembering Aron jefferies hs2
So recently my spervisor (Aron jefferies)and friend at work who i had lived with for the past 6 months suddenly had a cardiac arrest he was 27 years of age fit and healthy , mma fighter and a very good rugby player too but he unfortunately passed away .. They found that he had a heart defect which had they of known about he could of been saved and it could of been prevented so we want to raise awareness that no matter how young and fit you think you are you only get one life and you never no what is round the corner , we would also like to raise some money for his parents for them to donate to a charity of there choice…
Ricky miller adhd
hi im climbing for an adhd charity who work directly with kids in schools .
Ive suffered with adhd my whole life and its thrown plenty of spanners in the works for me and obstacles i have had to overcome.
Recognition and awareness has improved and there are alot more things getting put into place to help the youngsters but i believe more can be done so i also want to raise awareness and hopefully help a few kids on the way , with the right help and right knowledge help them be proud of it and learn how to deal with it and have things put in place to help them succeed.
i have worked very closely with an adhd charity and i would love to help them as they work one to one with kids , schools and families and can help change lives but they are fully self supported so any kind of help would be great for them
Dan Hutton aka James Carter
I am climbing to raise awareness for a charity close to my heart for the help and positivity that they have given my mother.
In 2020 my Mother went for a routine breast check up and was shocked to realise she had breast cancer. Fortunately is was discovered in its very early stages. The treatment she recieved from the NHS was incredible and within 4 weeks she had undergone successful surgery.
After her treatment my Mum felt very frightened and alone. She was unsure of where to turn to for help and support. She struggled alone for 6 months.
She stumbled accross a local group created by 2 ladies who had themselves survived breast cancer. She plucked up the courage to attend one of their meetings. She felt a great sense of relief knowing that there were other Ladies out there that she could turn to and open up to about her fears and her mental health.
The meetings at Breast Friends currently take place once a month in Grantham. They are very relaxed and informal and give ladies a chance to meet like minded survivors to open up to and share stories free from judgement and pass on positivity and show that there is a very full life after breast cancer.
