We have exciting news! An agreement has been reached with one of the oldest UK blues labels to license its catalogue of original master tapes for transfer to ultra-high resolution digital audio DSD256 format for future release of this unique material as downloads in all hi-res formats. A part of the plan is to release select albums as super vinyl 200 grams audiophile LP pressings, cut with new methods of groove control.

This UK blues label has a rare catalogue of over 2000 albums which include original cuts by Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, Roy Gaines and a host of other legendary artists of XX century.

Digitizing aging old analogue master tapes in DSD256, best modern archival digital format, will ensure that this unique collection of Blues recordings of XX century will not be lost to future generations of music fans. Vinyl LP records and CDs, previously released by this label, are no longer available and the record company was officially closed for a number of years.We decided to give priority to this Blues music campaign to start our “Analogue Studio Tapes’ Archives Conversion to DSD” MHL programme as these precious recordings may soon simply vanish forever.

To begin this project we need to raise £10,000. That will allow us to make an advance payment to the owner of the label, sign the licensing contract and purchase some necessary additional equipment – Revox/Studer tape recorders, Hapi and associated DSD256 modules from Merging Technologies etc. and begin the first phase of the digitising process. This project will be self-sustainable in time.
However, we need this first installment of £10,000 in order to set the project in motion.
