I've raised £1500 to buy necessary fabric and materials for 'UppStitchers' to keep our ladies stitching for the amazing NHS, our care workers and key workers.

Hello. Following a very generous donation of materials and the hard work of an unbelievable team of local ladies, we were proud to deliver nearly 500 headbands to Leicester Royal Infirmary on Saturday, that were forwarded to Glenfield Hospital. We now have another 350 ready to go!
Having delivered workwear material to Rutland Sewing in Ashwell last Monday, we were amazed to see them as Scrubs and Scrubs Bags for our NHS on Thursday.
Further material donations are already being made into necessary items but often the ladies stitching are short of finishing materials; elastics, buttons, threads etc. We also have people keen to stitch that require fabric.
Hence the need to raise some funds to make sure these items are readily available to the stitchers and therefore get the garments and items quickly into the hands of the people who need them.
We are setting up a justgiving page in the hope that we can raise money to buy materials for those in Uppingham and surrounding villages wishing to stitch vital garments for NHS staff, care workers and key workers who are often working without protection.
If the funding is available we will purchase material specifically suitable for scrubs as this is unlikely to be donated from peoples homes.
EVERY PENNY RAISED WILL GO TOWARDS HELPING PROTECT OUR AMAZING NHS, CARE AND KEY WORKERS
Thanks for reading this and thanks to everybody who has been involved so far!
