    Story

Please join us in helping to elect Virgil Ierubino as County Councillor for the Petersfield area. Virgil is the only candidate who’ll bring the change we really need here in Cambridge – and he needs your help to do it.

Virgil is a local campaigner living and working in Petersfield. He is standing with the Green Party, who are a major force in Cambridge and have regularly come 2nd here. With your help, we can make that 1st.

“I'm with the Green Party because I believe in improving Petersfield over the next 4 years. But I also believe in improving it over the next 40," said Virgil. "That means we need smart decisions now, to lower housing costs, keep roads safe, and invest in a sustainable future.”

Virgil and his team are ready to put in the months of work it's going to take to get him elected: talking to every single resident in Petersfield (there are thousands), and not only once; leaving leaflets if people aren't in; getting people to spread the word.

Unfortunately, campaigning also requires money – for leaflets, letters, posters, ads and more – and unlike candidates who've chosen one of the “major” parties, we don't have bags of cash to dip into. In fact, all we've got is what Virgil is putting in himself, and what supporters like you can contribute.

Every £10 lets us reach another 100 voters or more, and our campaign material has regularly been praised as the best in Cambridge. The more we raise, the more votes we'll get on 4th May.

So, please give what you can to help Virgil get elected – and be part of making change happen here in Cambridge.

(Campaign expenditure is limited by the Electoral Commission and by the number of volunteers we have available. In the event that we raise more money than we can spend, this will be contributed to electing Green Party candidates in the same or future elections.)

We've hit our target! Thank you so much to everyone who chipped in and was so generous. The money raised to back my campaign means we can reach far more voters and win far more votes for Green ideas and forward-thinking politics. Thank you!
