Weʼve raised £1,555 to Worthing Cat Welfare to help Jackie, our welfare officer, to replace her car which she uses exclusively for rescue and re-homing our cats.

Story
Many of you will have come into contact with our welfare officer, Jackie, either when taking on one of our lovely cats looking for a new home, needing help with re-homing a cat or reporting a stray cat needing help.
On Wednesday 30th November whilst taking 3 feral cats to a new home in Selsey, Jackie was involved in an accident writing off her car. Luckily both Jackie and the 3 cats were not injured, but Jackie needs a replacement car in order to continue her wonderful voluntary work.
Richard has identified a ten year old automatic Nissan Micra with approx 38k mileage, full service history and new MOT. The asking price was £3k, but has been negotiated down to £2.6k. Jackie's car is likely to be valued for write off purposes at £800.
We are appealing for help to raise the £1,800 to buy this car which she will use exclusively for her continued role in rescuing and re-homing our cats..

7 years agoWe are so happy to now be 72% there. I have hopefully extended the page for another month hoping we can still do 100%. Thank you so much to so many who have donated and please keep donating. We have had some VERY generous donations and are very appreciative but no donation is too small. 8 years agoThanks again to all of you who have supported us. We now have £430 which is almost 25% there. Please ask your friends and family to give just a very small amount and we will get nearer our target by Christmas.

8 years agoThank you everyone for your kind support and for sharing our post to your friends and family. We have raised £255.00 so far. It has been decided that the car will be registered to Worthing Cat Welfare Trust so that the charity is able to cover running costs and Jackie is not out of pocket.
