Story
Girls into Engineering!
Emily and Beth aka 'WGC Microbots 11646' are in Year 4 and take part in the Vex IQ Robotics Competition. This is their second season and they have enjoyed phenomenal success.
They are from Welwyn Garden City in Herfordshire.
They have competed in 5 regional competitions this year winning awards in all 5 and qualified for the UK National Championship which took place at the Big Bang Fair on15th March.
At the UK finals they competed against students who are much older, some in year 9 and did exceptionally well winning the Judges Award and the 'Primary School Excellence Award' which qualifies them to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in April where they will represent the UK on the World Stage.
We are now seeking sponsorship funds from local and national businesses so that these amazing girls can take their place and show the world what girls in engineering can really do!

7 years agoWe've been simply blown away with your generous messages of support and donations! Thank you so much. The Microbots have been busy developing their design ready for the World Championships and now their robot is faster, stronger and more accurate! We'll send updates from the States. Thanks again!
