Hey Im Em and i will be running Paris marathon in April 2025 to raise how ever much money i can for an incredible Specialist school which my eldest daughter attends. In 2018 I became a mum to the most beautiful girl, Nola. I find it difficult to talk about her birth as it was the most traumatic experience of my life. In short - Nola received CPR immediately from birth after being starved of oxygen due to my placenta rupturing during labour resulting in an emergency c section. She was also born with a genetic syndrome, Fragile X. Nola has 200+ repeats of the gene which affects her brain due to none or the lack of a certain protein which supports brain development. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Nola is happy & healthy, everything any parent wants  - The school has helped and continue to help my family more than i can ever put into words so for me to give something back is really important. As a family we will always in someway help and raise awareness for people living with disability or additional / complex needs.
