In 2016, Wednesfield entered Heart of England In Bloom for the first time and achieved a Silver Award.
This year, we are hoping to go one better and bring home a Gold!
We are all volunteers and rely on outside funding. Last year, we were helped by local community volunteer group Hands On Wednesfield, but they are committed to other projects for 2017.
Wednesfield were proud to be flying the flag for Wolverhampton as it's only entrant and that may well be the case again in 2017.
The emphasis this year will be on the High Street, with all business owners being encouraged to participate.
The church grounds will be part of that and we aim to fill the borders with masses of vibrant colour.
The people of Wednesfield were so generous when HOW raised money to increase the Christmas Lights and we're hoping for a similar response.
We're not asking for anyone to do any work (althought that would be most welcome), just to spare as much as they can afford to help us achieve our goal.
Imagine, the village full of colour and brightness..............then help us realise it.
