    Story

Laver Leisure are proposing a huge development within the grounds of a disused quarry in the Churnet Valley. Moneystone quarry is subject to a legal restoration order which is now over 18 months overdue. Instead of restoring the quarry to its natural legal state, Laver Leisure are proposing a huge leisure development, initially consisting of 250 log cabins, boating lake, restaurant, sporting activities etc, with 100,000 visitors a year. A 5 year plan extending to 600 cabins and 250,000 visitors.

Thank you everybody for your support. It is paying off. Today the Planning Councillors for Staffirdshire Moorlands District Council refused the outline application for the leisure park at Moneystone Quarry by 9 to 1. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much everyone for all your support so far. I am trying to work out how to thank you all personally, but have not yet been successful. Therefore, please accept this as a big THANK YOU until I manage to figure it all out. Thank you so much Alison
