Wollescote park has some of the best views in Dudley borough but has no accessible pathway for people to see them. 50 years ago there was a pathway that did just that. A level loop from the top car park that arched around the contour line at the highest point of the park. The views are amazing. Sadly this pathway has grown over and disappeared. I want to get it back laid with smooth Tarmac. This would allow everyone regardless of their physical ability to have a good safe amble take in amazing views picnic with their friends and family and see spectacular sunsets. We hope to create points of interest along the path pointing out view points and places of historical interest. We will be able to get some funding from community forums, the Stevens trust and other sources but this is an opportunity for you to contribute to something amazing that you and your family can share in forever.
