Story

On Sunday evening my dad was taken into hospital after a suspected ruptured aneurysm. He was quickly transferred to Nottingham Queens Medical Centre within the adult intensive care unit where they did absolutely everything they could to save his life. Unfortunately yesterday my dad passed away due to the subarachnoid haemorrhage being so severe it proved fatal. At 49 years old my dad had so many more years left to live and neither me or my brothers deserved to have our dad taken so young, and my mum never deserved to have her husband taken so soon. My dad was a very selfless and generous man when it came to money and charities, and i know MND is a charity close to his heart as his dad also died young at the age of 47 from it; Alzheimers is a charity close to my mums heart that my dad had previously supported; and finally adults ICU did so much for my dad and made sure it was as comfortable a process as something like this could be. My dad would not have believed in allowing other people to have paid for his funeral but he certainly would’ve believed in any fundraising in his name going to those charities and places close to his heart.
