    Story

Welcome! My name Yoni, I'm a 42 years old man who suffers from major clinical depression. I'm asking you to kindly support my occupational health initiative - 'Baking Bread Edinburgh' - as this will help myself and others get better!

Recently, things went south for me and I had to leave my job as a customer service agent as I could no longer cope with the stress involved in my work. My employer doesn't pay sick leave so my bills have started to pile up. But, I must look forward & focus on my recovery, knowing it could take months until I'm back on my feet again!

In the meantime, I've taken upon myself an occupational health project. I started baking sourdough bread at home and I'm selling it locally in my hometown - Edinburgh. Baking fresh bread every day has already helped me to regain self-confidence & feel that there is hope. It gives me great pleasure to know that my customers are enjoying my artisan bread. In the past, I already owned a business, which I left behind when I moved from Israel to Scotland to support my wife in her studies. Now, more mature, I feel that managing a small business will make my life more meaningful.

I'm raising £4,500 towards developing my occupational health project. I'd like to enhance my baking capacities, recruit co-workers & increase my clientele. Your support will enable me not only to provide for myself & my family, but also to create a small business that will employ people who suffer from depression, and like me, lost their ability to work. In this business, all workers will be treated equally and with compassion. There will be no pay gaps and workers will not be penalised because they're having a mental disability. A 'peer coping and recovery' model will be applied to encourage growth and well-being.

I'm asking you to kindly donate to 'Baking Bread' & help me with this project. Together we can make a difference for those affected by depression.

Thanks for your patients reading my spill
