Story
Having read the most amazing pleas on this site I felt moved to try and save our beautiful dog and friend's life. The pet insurance has failed us and now we have to watch our boy suffer and he is not deserving or ready to leave this world. Zero was bought for my little boy when he was 7 and provided him lots of love and companionship over the years of terrible bullying and not fitting in. After getting a very late ASD diagnosis at 16 and conflict he has left home and not in contact and we are very worried that when he comes home it will be too late and his best friend in the whole world will be gone and he will then blame himself or us and our relationships recovery will be in more jeopardy. This aside Zero fills all our hearts with joy on a daily basis and is our Jack Russell Madi's bestie and she will miss him so. He needs a lump removed from his bottom, the lump is benign so is not life threatening at the moment, but is starting to push on his spine so causing his balance to be off and his poor bum to bleed quite significantly. This is very distressing for us all and seems completely wrong to watch him suffer, but we have no funds to cover surgery to remove this lump. The Dicks Vet in Edinburgh is who have quoted for this operation as it is a soft tissue specialist that is needed. they quoted a ridiculous £3000. I figured that if I could raise £5 from 600 people it wouldn't be much to ask, it is embarrassing to ask friends and family for this cause as everyone has their own burdens, but feel I would do the same for anyone asking the same of me. We will post pictures of his booking, receipts and recovery as feel this is very important.

7 years agoZero seems a little better today. He was having terribly cramping but the vet has given him a new drug to try today which will block nerve pain and he is now more relaxed. Bring on the healing! ❤❤ Thanks all once again.

7 years agoHi everyone, sorry I can't click each individual donation and thank you!! THANKS each and all for your donations near and far. Zero is healing slowly. The vet said the tumour was the size of a large pear and rotten. He seems better today but slowly does it. He has rectangle poo at the moment which is an improvement and amusing! He is still having lots of cramping and off balance but much better each day and it has only been 5 days post op. Thanks again for making it possible for him to have this operation and be with us a few more years! ❤

7 years agoZero is home with his baboon pink shaved bum! He has had the best care and is on lots of medication for 10 days but is alive and well. All stitching is on the inside so hopefully infection will be kept at bay and he heals quickly. Thank you thank you sooo much for your help and support! Much love

The pet insurance we have covered £500 but the investigations and biopsy used the whole lot and they now won't cover anything to do within this ailment.
