Every year, I make a heart-felt visit to these remarkable women, bringing clothes and essential food parcels to alleviate their struggles; especially in the wake of rising food and energy prices caused by the war in Ukraine and due to the economic situation in South Africa. (Zulucow will also donate 10% of all profits for the next two months.)

As my upcoming trip approaches, I asked the Zulucow ladies what we can do to help them, as I know from previous years’ fundraising your support really makes a significant impact on their lives.

Nomzamo dreams of providing her shy, 8-year-old son, Nonwabo, with the essential speech therapy he requires. His school insists that he won’t be allowed to go to school until he starts talking. Nomzamo is determined to help him overcome this obstacle.

Gcinile, a devoted single mother of five daughters, is seeking assistance to cover her youngest child‘: Sphile’s school fees.

Kwandile aspires to become a teacher and diligently studies in the evenings after work. Extra funds would enable her to acquire an old second-hand computer, significantly benefiting her entire family. If you have a laptop that you've retired but that is still working that you would like to donate, please let me know.

Ma Thandi is in desperate need of a backpack crop sprayer for her maize crop and to care for her precious cows. It will cost R480

Tshitshi shoulders the responsibility of supporting a large family and is striving to pay her father's medical bills. She cant afford conventional doctors in town so has to go to a local clinic.

Nellie is in the midst of expanding her home - she and her husband Sakhi have a two room house: the children all sleep in the kitchen; and she and Sakhi sleep in the other room. Her 5 children are growing up and they need more space. She would really appreciate help buying bricks and cement to complete this vital project.
