Story

Hullo my dears, you all know that Agnes' ashes are buried in the Botanic Gardens in Oxford, where she worked for the last years of her life and a place that she really loved...

I've been hoping to have a bench in the gardens as a place to remember Agnes and somewhere to sit when I visit - I often pop in for a chat. It hasn't been easy but I've managed to persuade the Botanic Gardens to let me have one with an inscription. Only trouble is I have to have the bench that they specify, and although it is lovely it is rather more expensive than I anticipated.

Here is a picture. It's called a 'cloister' bench and is handmade from solid oak. I have asked for a carved inscription that simply says 'Remembering Agnes'. Those of us who do remember her will know who it is for, those who don't might just sit and wonder.

This is where her ashes are buried. I'm hoping the bench will be somewhere close by.

Please don't feel obliged to give anything, but if you would like to contribute it would be lovely, and helpful!
