Story

In 2018 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and had surgery to remove the tumour and a third of my bowel, then four cycles of chemo. All was good until 2021 when the cancer unfortunately returned.

This time, however, surgery wasn't an option and chemo and radiotherapy wouldn't do the trick either. So, in October 2021, I started a two-year course of immunotherapy designed to keep the cancer at bay.

I can say that it has worked better than we could have hoped for and I'm currently fit and well and looking forward to future.

I decided to start raising money to help make Christmas a little easier for people who may need a little extra support and A Goldstitch Christmas was born. We've donated into The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro paediatric ward, our local Foodbanks, St Petrocs, the Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, a local Day Care Centre, and some Secret Santa gifts for people people locally and further afield across Cornwall and Devon. This year we will also be donating to the South West Childrens Hospice too.

Your donations would be gratefully received and we will ensure that everything donated will go towards making peoples lives a little easier, raising a smile and adding a bit of Christmas magic.

Thank you for your support!
