Story

In 2018 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and after surgery to remove the tumour and a third of my bowel, then four cycles of chemo, I was given the all clear. Unfortunately, after a routine scan in 2021, we discovered that the cancer had returned. Unfortunately, this time it was affecting my lymph nodes and surgery, chemo and radiotherapy would not be effective.

My only option was a two year course of immunotherapy, a drug designed to work with your own immune system to help fight the cancer cells at bay. Luckily for me, it has worked better than we could have hoped.

When treatment started, we wanted to turn a negative into a positive and A Goldstitch Christmas was born. I didn't want to moan and groan, I didn't want to feel sorry for myself. I thought that it was an ideal opportunity to create something that could do a little bit to help others.

Your donations help us to donate into the Royal Cornwall Hospital Children's Ward at Treliske, Childrens Hospice South West, St Petrocs, Hayle Food Bank and the Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Clubs. Follow the link above for further details about what we have done since 2021.

Your generosity blows us away, we couldn't do this without you. Any donation, large or small, even a share of the fundraising page, helps us to reach our goal. And we are massively grateful for you help!
