Story

Friends and family....

On Tuesday 5th of December a beautiful boy called Jesse was born to our good friends Leeann and Dan...a baby brother for Charlie and a baby we’d been waiting for.

All was well and they came home....they were all looking forward to a Christmas with their new baby as a family of four.

In the first couple of weeks Jesse caught a virus and struggled to breathe which resulted in him being admitted to Hinchingbrook hospital to help with his breathing. His condition worsened and he was sedated and tube fed and ended up being transferred to the Royal London hospital where a special Intensive care unit could look after him.

Leeanne has been with him every day missing her son Charlie and the whole of Christmas.

They were given a house near the hospital provided by a charity called the Sick Children’s Trust which rely on donations to help the parents of children who are poorly and live away from the hospital. Without this Leeanne and Dan would have faced huge travel costs and the whole ordeal would have been much worse than it already was.

I’m pleased to say Jesse is now out of critical care and back at hinchinbrook hospital relying on small amounts of oxygen before they are able to bring him home which hopefully won’t be long.

This January I will doing ‘Dry January’ I can hear you all sniggering 🤣

I will be doing this to raise money for the Sick Children’s Trust that have supported Leeanne and Dan in such a difficult time.

All donations are so appreciated and I hope they can then continue to help other parents of sick children.
