Story
In August 2017, a close family friend aged 24 suddenly and tragically lost her mom, she passed away, aged 48. My friend as next of kin is liable to cover the cost of all the funeral expenses. She was left with the invoice for the funeral which she is unable to finance alone.
Unfortunately, my friend’s mom lived in a council property and left no money. She signed the papers with the funeral directors in order to speed up arrangements for the funeral which will be the most basic one available the cost for this is £2100.
The funeral director, Cooperative funeral directors have already stripped their fees back to the minimum in order to help with the cost. Frustratingly having contacted The Department of Work and Pensions, was told that as my friend is working and not claiming benefits they would not be able to provide any funding at all. Might you be able to help with the financing of this funeral. All monies raised will be paid to the funeral director to clear the outstanding debt.
Thanks in advance for any donations however small. As you can imagine this is already a very difficult time for the family, please help to relieve some of the stress by helping to finance the funeral.
