I've raised £500 to provide menstrual cups to homeless women who otherwise can't afford these products.

A Natural Cycle
We currently live in a world where women are taxed for their natural menstrual cycle. There is a deep stigma in society around periods. The problems surrounding this issue have not been addressed. Primarily, the cost of sanitary products along with the tampon tax (in the UK) is unfeasible for many women around the world. Furthermore, the reliance on single-use products is environmentally unsustainable and the danger to women’s health is far from ideal.
The menstrual cup is a reusable, safe, eco-friendly alternative that is designed for long term use. This innovative project can help the every-day woman as well as those in difficult situations. For many homeless people sanitary products are far beyond their reach. However, proper sanitation is a basic need – the menstrual cup could be a sustainable solution.
This is the beginning of a long-term project to help raise funds to get menstrual cups to homeless people, starting in Cheltenham, UK and also Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. All money donated to this page will go to buying menstrual cups which will be distributed to women in need and any profits made from the prints will also go towards this cause.
