Weʼve raised £110 to get Debbie a new bike!!
- Funded on Wednesday, 22nd August 2018
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I created this page to surprise a wonderful woman, that is always willing to help others but never ever asks for anything in return.
I"m talking about Debbie Baker, she is a bundle of energy, is forever doing things for charity, entering into sporting events, organising group training sessions without asking for any money in return, encouraging others to believe in themselves and always making people smile, even when they are sweating during one of her workout sessions ;-).
We all know that her passion in life is cycling, and she does sometimes bore us to death with all her cycling pictures that she puts up on Facebook lol or is it that we wish we had such a passion for a sport? I know I sometimes feel terribly lazy when I see how much she does!
Anyway, her trusted bike is falling apart, and even though she laughs about it, and doesn't mind going to big race events with her little old bike, with her unicorn lock, I know deep down she would love to have one of those brand new ones..... which is totally out of her reach and out of mine, but......i'm hoping that with this, we would all be able to give back a little...to say thank you with all the hours she has given to us, to motivate us, to help us, what better way is there to thank her with something that she will most definitely love?! :-)
Lets make this happen, no matter how little you can give, anything will help!
