I've raised £1800 to Buy a new cuddle cot in the maternity bereavement suite at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

On 11th January 2018, our world changed forever after our first son Kaspar was born prematurely at 23+3 weeks. Sadly, Kaspar only lived for 6 short hours but we were given the chance to spend precious time with him as a family and create lasting memories in the hospitals bereavement suite. Everything in the suite is donated by families that have tragically had to make use of it in the past.
We would love to be able to raise some funds to update some of the furniture in the room, and most importantly to purchase a new 'cuddle cot' - this is a cot that keeps babies cold after they have passed away allowing parents and babies to have extra time together without their appearance changing. This was so unbelievably important to me and Owen - it meant Kaspar could stay in the room with us and we had privacy during some of the most amazing but heartbreaking days as we said goodbye to our son.

The Cuddle Cot at Chesterfield needs updating and this is what we hope the money raised will go towards. At present, roughly 2 families per month make use of the suite at Chesterfield and we would love to be able to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
It is Kaspar's due date on 7th May, and as his name means 'bringer of precious gifts' on that day we will be carrying out random acts of kindness by leaving gifts in his memory. We would love it if you could all join us by donating a 'a quid (or two) for some kindness' to our cause.
We plan to do some more fundraising later in the year, including half marathons, and Owen said if we hit our target, he'll consider entering a marathon next year (surely that's enough encouragement to donate!)
