The Wish To Learn Foundation was set up two years ago to empower some of the most marginalized children in the world to maximize their potential and changing their lives through education. We believe that every child has a right to a bright future and that’s only possible when the child has access to a quality education. The unique element of the Wish To Learn Foundation is that it’s been set up by older students in the West (USA) for the younger children in the East (India). Through this process we demonstrate that we can all work together, with each other, for each other – no matter where we are in the world – we can make a real difference when it comes to our learning. Simply because WE Wish To Learn!

On our Bug’s first birthday, we want to share our happiness with the children our Foundation supports, Unique Home for Girls and The Akanksha Schools.

Akanksha Schools are a group teaching children around India. These children come from incredibly low income families and extensive poverty. The school desperately needs help and volunteers so this fund is for them.

In addition, The Unique Home for Girls is an orphanage for girls unwanted and abandoned because of their gender. 'Mama' Bibi Parkash Kaur, has taken in these girls, feeding, sheltering, educating and loving them. We hope to give these girls the opportunities they deserve.

This gift money will be a direct donation to the children of Unique Home for Girls, and the children of Akanksha Schools, providing them with school supplies, furniture, food, an education and most importantly the chance to achieve something great.
