Story

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

I am a 22 year old wanting to achieve my dream, which is to seek the mercy, blessings and pleasure of Allah. My aim is to In Sha Allah build a large mosque in Pakistan that will accommodate 250 worshippers. There are several communities which are deprived of such an important institution. A mosque is the heart and centre for any community where people congregate for their five daily prayers and especially for the Friday congregation sermons.

A mosque does not only serve a place just for prayer but where Muslim’s can hold meetings, educate other Muslim’s by holding circles, classes, lectures, especially for women & children, it’s where communities gather to open their fast’s in the blessed month of Ramadan, where evening taraveeh prayers are held, where funeral (Janazah) prayers are held. It’s a place to unite the community, unite the hearts of the believers and bring people closer to Allah.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are: knowledge which he learned and then spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur’aan that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.” Ibn Maajah (224) Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.

My aim In sha Allah is to raise £12, 850 as this will be the donation which can be put forward towards building a mosque. This is an excellent form of sadqah jariyah which benefits not only this world but the hereafter, for whomever you make the intention for.

Allah (swt) has promised the reward in the hereafter to those who spend and give charity, to the one who builds a masjid or participates in building it, for the sake of Allah (swt) and for seeking reward with Him.

Hadith: The Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alayhi wa salaam) said:

"Whoever builds a mosque with the intention of seeking Allah's pleasure, Allah will build for him a place in Paradise."

Sahih Al-Bukhai, Hadith #441 | Vol.1

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that: The Messenger of Allah said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 4, Hadith 4

Jazakhallah.
