Story

Our beautiful daughter Livia was diagnosed with a form of Kidney cancer on the 21st March 2022. This was completely out of the blue.

Due to the amazing teams at QMC she received her treatment plan and begun Chemotherapy within 8 days of the initial diagnosis. We are very hopeful of a positive outcome.

We have have received an outpouring of support from our friends, colleagues and the wider community. This has included prayers and positive messages but also many requests to provide toys, teddies, cards etc. Obviously this is amazing, but we think Livia would like to help the other girls and boys on the wards at QMC who are often in hospital for weeks at a time with not much to do and not many games and toys to take their minds off what they are going through.

Seeing your child enjoying themselves, even for 15 minutes, when they are going through so much is really important for the parents too - it gives respite and increases positivity, which makes everything better and gives you strength to face the challenges ahead.

Please - if you read this, and you have a few quid spare - which is difficult at the moment for most of us - consider donating to Livia's cause. It makes a big difference to everyday life for the kids going through unimaginable fear, worry and physical issues.

Thank you -

Aaron, Evonne, Mya and Livia
