I've raised £250 to The Gambia Project

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page everyone!
On the 19th August Minelli and I will be taking part in the annual Kimbolton half marathon alongside friends and colleagues. I would like to use this as an opportunity to Support The Gambia Project, a small but personal charity that provides much needed support to schools, orhanages and families across The Gambia. My Colleague Linda and husband Terry work throughout the year to raise funds to provide direct and sustained support to a number of worthy causes. Every year, for over a decade Linda & Terry travel out to The Gambia to make sure that the funds get to where they need to go, all travel and admin is self-funded so 100% of money donated is spent on supporting chosen projects.
Your donations are hugely appreciated :)
Below was a first hand account of the 2018 Gambia trip:
"I have just returned from once again a wonderful week in the Gambia!! When I arrived I met with the small charity organisers and they told me that the Orphanage needed a new water tank which would cost £300, I gave them the money and the water tank has been ordered, we also purchased 3 bags of rice for them. They then told me that since I visited last year the clinic/orphanage had found much bigger sponsors so our little charity are not going to help them so much BUT there are still 2 schools that need all the help they can get – one is Bakota school which I have visited and helped over the years, this year they needed some new exercise books so we purchased 400 for them and they also needed 12 more chairs for the school so these have been ordered also, we also left 3 sacks of rice for the teachers. The second school is a new one to us, Terry, my cousin Pat and myself between us pay for our two beach juice ladies 6 children to go to school, we visited it this year to see how the children were progressing and they said they were in need of new chairs and tables, so we were able to help. Thanks to you all for your support.
