I've raised £4150 to raise funds for Parkinson’s

In November 2020 I will be setting off on a 19 day trek across the himilayan mountains all the way to Everest Base Camp to raise money for the phase 3 of the Parkinsons GNDF research.
The study has shown that GDNF could potentially be used as treatment to restore damaged brain cells in patients with Parkinson’s. Further research now aims to find an effective treatment period and dose of GDNF to improve the lives of patients living with the condition.
This challenge is the perfect way to show my support for the incredible work researchers are doing to get us closer to the cure for Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s is the worlds second largest neurological disorder and currently no cure exists. Side effects can include, muscle tremors, impaired posture and balance, bowels, eyesight, facial expression & speech.
Parkinson’s currently effects 10 million people and their families, including my Father-in-Law Perry, who I will be climbing to Base Camp with.
Thank you for reading my story and for your support.
