Story

Hello all. I'm going to complete this Ultra Running event in aid of The Jordan Legacy. I'll be making it extra hard on myself by running it in combat boots and carrying a weighted Bergen. Just for that extra challenge! Thanks for all your help and support. ❤️

The Jordan Legacy was established by his family in memory of Jordan Phillip to seek ways of better supporting those who are finding life a struggle and, specifically, to reduce the number of lives being lost to suicide. They want to help people have a shared sense of hope and a shared belief that we can make a difference, considerably reducing the number of suicides (and suicide attempts) and moving towards a ‘zero suicide society’.

Across the UK, more than 6,000 people die by suicide each year, and this has been the case for the past 15 years with no downward movement in the annual death toll. In each and every case of losing a loved one to suicide, the impact is devastating and the pain of suicide loss endures. Not everyone is affected by suicide but anyone can be affected by suicide.

The Jordan Legacy believes that a ‘zero suicide society’ is a society that is willing and able to do all it can to prevent all preventable suicides. Shared learning and collaboration are key to a common understanding and collective action. By supporting this JustGiving page, you are helping us move toward a zero suicide society.
