    Story

At 28 years old, Aaron was on top of the world. A fit and healthy young man with a beautiful wife of 7 years, and 3 young boys. The youngest, Finley, only being a few weeks old.

Whilst on paternity leave he started to complain of migraines and chronic fatigue. Following a visit to the doctors he was admitted to hospital with the fear of Meningitis.
Shortly after more blood tests, Aaron was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

The expected fear and panic set in to everyone that loved him, but not with Aaron; he was positive and even joking about it at times! He had that way about him; the ability to calm everyone down in tough situations.
Chemotherapy was the next step. Aaron took his treatment, didn't once complain or get down about it and after a 6 month stay in hospital he finally got to go home and be with his family. The news that Aaron was in remission was amazing, and he celebrated in the way he loved, getting together with friends for some drinks and enjoying family life.

Family and friends pulled together while Aaron was in hospital and raised funds to send his family on a surprise trip to Disneyland Paris. Aaron then got on with enjoying his life, he was successful at work, got back to playing football and boxing, and enjoyed his young family.

In October 2017 the worst news came, his Leukaemia was back. But, as ever, he was positive. 'I've already beaten it once, I'll be fine.'

The decision was made to have a stem cell transplant and he was on a list to try and find a donor. More chemo followed and eventually a German donor was found!
The next 18 months did not go as plan. Recovery came with more difficulties and infections; things then went down hill very quickly, until the point where his mind and body just couldn't fight it anymore.

Aaron passed away on Monday 25th November 2019 surrounded by his family, aged 34. His funeral is to held on Tuesday 10th December 2019.

Aaron leaves behind his wife, Jo and 3 boys, Alfie (9), Jacob (7) and Finley (5).

We have set this up to help the family get through the next few months. With funeral costs and Christmas approaching, we don't want finances to be an extra worry for this amazing family.

Please help us reach our target by donating what you can. x
