I've raised £10000 to help keep our animals safe during the coronavirus lock down!

Animal assisted therapy is starting to eke itself into the mainstream, and people are quickly becoming aware of it's powerful effects on the most vulnerable and isolated in our society. It is the method of working along side animals to promote mindfulness, well-being and purpose. Animals provide a bridge between therapist and client like nothing else can. They are non-judgmental, non-verbal and natural anti-depressants. This is much more than pseudo-science, ask anyone who owns a pet!

Noah's A.R.T. is Tameside's prominent animal assisted therapy service and provides a myriad of therapies for it's users. From animal themed art projects to dog games, there is something for everyone at our community hub. We host a pet-friendly volunteer run cafe on Tuesdays that is open to all, with vegan and gluten free cake options! We also host Therapy Thursdays where clients book in advance to have a more hands on, personal therapeutic session with our animals.

It is one of our core tenets that those who access our service are not just clients, but are part of Noah's A.R.T. as an organisation. Almost all of our staff are volunteers who have shared their journey with us from service user to volunteer. We believe in helping people help themselves by providing a place for vulnerable, isolated or anxious individuals to find family and purpose.
We are asking people to donate whatever they can to fund the running costs of Noah's A.R.T. It is an unfortunate reality that we cannot provide this service for free. However we wish to keep prices down as much as possible in order not to exclude those who need it most. Your donations would go to funding wages, rent on our cabin, art supplies, animal welfare and potential expansion of our services. Thank you.

In this trying time we will all need to help one another. At Noah's A.R.T. we spend most of our income on looking after our wonderful animal friends. This includes vet costs, food, bedding and health checks! The costs can build up very quickly.
As with most community groups we will be closing our service during this difficult period, meaning we will not be receiving any income. Therefore our reserves will be steadily diminishing as we continue to care for our animals, not to mention our human staff!
We are asking you to give whatever you can spare in order for Noah's A.R.T. to keep our animals in good health. No one is sure how long this crisis is going to last, but we have every intention to open our doors as soon as we can! We need your help to stay afloat whilst we wait out the lock down. We will do our best to be active on social media, so you can check out how the animals are doing in quarantine! We wish everyone the best over the next few months, stay safe, stay happy and stay at home!
