Every second year Arbroath Academy select a number of senior pupils along side 3 teachers/staff members to head out to Rwanda! i was lucky enough to have been chosen along side another 9 amazing pupils and 3 fantastic staff members of our school to experience this once in a life time opportunity. Of course this all comes at a cost, a lot of similar trips expect payments from each member, however this trip is funded simply but fundraising done by our team of 13! we have had an amazing response from our local community so far and are super grateful for every penny donated to help us fund for everything from flights to resources we take out for Rwandans themselves. However we still have fundraising to do so while i am away visiting family in New Zealand in December i have arranged a skydive, for those who know me will understand this is quite a challenge for myself and i would appreciate any donations no matter how small! i have set my target rather high in the hope that i can contribute as much as possible to this trip!
