Most of you are possibly aware that Abby has recently been diagnosed with leukemia, a second time. Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). It is very rare for a young woman to have. Abby had been cancer-free for almost 3 years since her first ordeal. In those last 3 years Abby & Cj have been very busy living life to the full! In that time they have managed to have their postponed wedding and then against some medical odds (following chemo) - have a miracle beautiful baby boy - Toby, who is almost 16 months old now!

Abby needs to have a few rounds of intensive chemotherapy again. This time she will also need to have a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. This family should be at home enjoying raising their baby boy but instead they are forced to spend lots of time apart whilst Abby is stuck in Derriford for weeks upon months.

The last thing this lovely family should have to worry about right now is finances. But unfortunately there isn't much help on offer from the government, which they know from exhausting all avenues the last time. Cj now has to juggle work and childcare plus the travel expenses from Cornwall to Derriford as often as he can.

Anyone who knows Abby & Cj know that they are such a selfless couple. They wouldn't ask for a thing. In fact at their wedding, for a wedding gift suggestion they said they didn't need any gifts but if people wished, they had a donation stand set up for two Leukemia charities (PDLF & Leukemia Research) & they raised a great amount! So they've done their bit for charity & now it's time that they deserve some.

So, if like me - you feel helpless, now you can do something! Let's try and lessen this family's financial burden a little so that they can concentrate on Abby kicking cancer's ass again! Funds will help them get by that bit easier, help them to give Toby the magical Christmas that they'd hoped for & perhaps maybe have some left over to plan something special after all this is over!
