I'm hoping to raise £200 to go towards the Winchester Mother and Baby Unit, a place very close to my heart.

In September 2022 my son Danny was born one month early. He was breech so he had to be delivered by emergency C-section. The following weeks at home weren’t as you’d expect . I was extremely unwell and following a hospital visit and some very tough times for my family, I ended up being transferred to Winchester's Mother and Baby Unit. I was soon diagnosed with Postpartum Psychosis, something I’d never heard of before.

Danny is now 3 and I can look back on the Mother and Baby Unit with fond memories and feel extremely lucky that there was space for me. The kind people I met on my journey I will never forget and can’t thank you enough.

Being poorly after having your baby isn’t what anybody thinks will happen but now I’m recovered and reflecting on the last few years I wanted to raise some money for the Mother and Baby Unit and to say a massive thank you for helping save my life.
