    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

'Aberdeen Taexali Rugby Club is an inclusive rugby club based in the North East of Scotland. We love our rugby, but we love our team and our community more. This year, we're starting 2021 with "The Calcutta Challenge" in honour of, you guessed it, the Calcutta Cup. The Calcutta Cup is a rugby match that happens every year between England and Scotland. We've challenged our team to "walk" the 502 miles to Twickenham Stadium by getting out and exercising, all before the kick-off of the Calcutta Cup on February 6th.

With 4 teams competing in our challenge (Dolly Pantin', Chafing the Dream, The Walk Destroyers, and Baby Got Track), we are excited to raise some funds and talk about #MilesThatMatter. We will be splitting all funds raised between Scottish Association for Mental Health and Team Jak, a charity that offers "emotional, social and practical support to children and young people with cancer and related illnesses from all over Scotland."

There are still more than two weeks to go, but we have our first winners! Congrats to 🥳 Baby Got Track 🎉 for making it all the way to Twickenham Stadium! Whilst they stick the kettle on, the other three teams are still making their way there and our fundraising page is still open. 👣 Can any team clock up the miles home? And can we hit £2,000?
