Hi all, I am a firefighter in Abertillery, I have set up this just giving page to help support the community in this difficult time. There are a number of streets and houses affected by the floods and landslides, although people often have home and contents insurance which will cover the damage, some don't and will really struggle to set themselves back up in the aftermath of this. Insurance may also not cover some things and there are still going to be costs incurred for lots of families.

If you can spare just £5 even that will help!

I will liaisewith BlaenauGwent council today to check how to best divvy up the money and likely pass it on to them to do.

I have put £1000 but obviouslythe more we can pitch in the better.
