On 27 April 2025, I am running the Manchester Marathon.

I am raising funds for the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV) which is a not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) that helps people obtain domestic abuse injunctions through the civil courts, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality or disability - or whether they are eligible for Legal Aid funding or can afford a solicitor.

NCDV triage thousands of referrals each year and those who cannot be passed to one of their panel solicitors are assisted by their Pro Bono Service. NCDV make no charge for these services, but need the help of the community to ensure they are able to help as many people as possible.

Additionally, NCDV train 12,000 police and other professionals annually to understand the benefits and criteria for civil injunctions. They do this completely free or charge, to help raise awareness and further NCDV's vision of making domestic abuse socially unacceptable.
