Story

Finally after Boris’s latest announcement ive been able to rebook my skydive so..

In May 2021 I will be taking to the skies and jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft!!! I’ve decided to do this in support of the charity Mind and to raise awareness my jump will be completed during Mental Health Awareness week. I feel that this is something that I really need to do for my own personal journey and would appreciate your support.

Please help me to reach my target, any extra funds will be donated to the Firefighter‘s Charity who have been amazing support not only for myself but my fellow colleagues & their families within the Fire service.

My own personal reasons for completing “the jump” ...

So 2020 hasn’t been the year that I’d hoped for so far... the positive, happy, life loving me has unfortunately been battling with my own personal mental health issues for quite some time now.

There are good days and bad days... I know I’m not the person that I was this time last year but I’m working hard on bringing her back, if my determination is anything to go by I will bring her back!

I won’t be going into the details but there are some very unkind people in this world & the pressures of social media and life sadly got the better of me and 4 weeks ago I felt that there was no other way out then to attempt to end my own life.. thankfully I’m still here.

The fact is that depression is a very lonely illness and although people say they are there for you, you don’t want to burden them with your problems as it’s easier (whilst in public) to put on a brave smile, as exhausting as it is and just try to push on through.

You can only do this for so long before it breaks you and you need to ask for help.. Thankfully I’ve got my family & a few amazing friends that I can count on who have been my rock and I can’t thank them enough for listening to me and helping me to get strong again.

The truth is that you never know how anyone is truly feeling and what there struggles are so as part of my journey to find myself again and also to raise money for two charities very close to my heart (Mind and The Firefighters Charity) I will be completing a skydive on the 17th May 2020 in aid of mental health awareness any donation would be appreciated to help me reach my goal.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.. please don’t judge .. speaking out like this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, just be kind always! ❤️
