I've raised £1000 to Fundraising to send me to nurse in Cambodia x

Hi my name is Abi Mcdonald and i am a second year nursing student at teesside university. I have been selected to volunteer in one of many underprivaliged hospitals in cambodia, this opportunity is the most exciting thing i have ever had the chance to be part of. I will be working alongside 15 other amazing students on my course representing the charity Transform Healthcare Cambodia. Although this experience is through my university it is completely self funded.
Transform healthcare Cambodia is a charity based in the UK which provides support, training and education to health care professionals in Cambodia. The reason Cambodia’s health care system is struggling is due to years of genocide at the hands of Pol Potts, resulting in the death of 25% of Cambodia’s population, including a huge number of the countries health care professionals.
Its of real importance to me to help and support this third world country and its health care system whilst gaining valuable experience which will benefit my training and working knowledge, benefitting my future role as an NHS nurse. As a student nurse we are expected to do full time hours on placement totally unpaid, this means trying to save money from the odd paid shifts we carry out is extremely hard, so any donatation would be hugely appretiated.
