Bermuda Aquarium's Kids on the Reef is an active two-day classroom and immersion programme teaching the skills and knowledge for youth to become safe free divers and advocates for global ocean issues facing Bermuda. The programme includes both confined water and open-water free diving instruction from land and from the boat along with teaching coral reef ecology, ocean conservation, and personal development through setting goals and coaching mental and body awareness. I became involved with this project when living in Bermuda and am raising funds to volunteer with the programme again in 2018.
