I've raised £300 to Run 30km before I’m 30 for child refugees

There are too many children arriving on the shores of Europe, fleeing persecution, war and horrors which we cant even begin to imagine. These children have lost everything, and have no control over what happens to them next. No-one seems to be able to fix the problem, but there are many projects going on which try to bring a small sense of normality to these children‘s lives for just a short while. Whether its a chance to play games or create something in a safe space with other children, learning something like they would have done every day back in school, or simply spending an hour in a dry space with a chance to get clean socks. All of these projects need our help to keep going as the need has far from dried up.
I‘ve decided to challenge myself and run 30km before i‘m 30 (in September). I will run a series of 5k and 10k runs totalling at least 30k. For those who know me, i am definitely not a runner and this will take a fair bit of determination - although not half as much as that needed by children in refugee camps to keep going.
I ask for your help, not only to keep encouraging me, but also to raise money which will be sent directly to an active project. As the need and location changes so often, the project the donations help won’t be decided until September.
