I've raised £500 to support two amazing charities that were very close to Dads heart and two amazing groups of people.

On the 6th Of February Sarah and I lost our amazing Dad, and the world lost a true gentleman and best friend to many. His loss is felt massively by all. Dad was a generous man and a giving man. Could never do enough for charities and people in need and this legacy he instilled into his girls and touched all who knew him with his outlook of life.
Years ago he completed the Welsh 3000 with some of his best mates. It was an accomplishment he was very proud of. He loved the outdoors, being in nature, and the peace that came with it.
One of his dreams that he wanted to do before he passed was to climb Ben Nevis one last time. Unfortunately he never got the chance to do this. So Sarah and I with a group of his closest friends are walking in his footsteps and taking on the Three Peak Challenge ourselves.
We are raising money for Macmillan and Wigan And Leigh Hospice. The money will be split equally between the two once we have achieved our mission.
Macmillan were amazing when dad was first diagnosed, supporting not only dad but all of us as a family. From beginning to end we knew we had them to turn to for advice, guidance and to help fight our corner when we needed.
Wigan And Leigh Hospice is an amazing place, we all fell in love with the building, surroundings and the staff there from day one when dad went for rest-bite. They could never do enough for us all and made sure dad was always comfortable. They made dad’s last few hours comfortable and settled for him and they truly are amazing people, supporting people when they need them most.
Sarah and I have been climbing mountains since day dot. Dad made sure we saw conquered them all. Sarah mountain goating it up Snowdon at the age of 5 the first of many peaks. Me, Ben Nevis at 11 with a broken arm in a blizzard.
This will be a massive challenge for all involved and thank you to Sean for organising all this. Dad would be loving it.
All support and donations are greatly appreciated. A reflection on the challenge ahead but more than that a reflection on Dad and the legacy he’s left behind.
Thank you x
