Story

ICE (International Community Experience) is an amazing three-stage project, which brings Guides together from all over Scotland to have fun while doing something for others. It offers the opportunity for personal development through community action linked with international experiences. The project is designed to give Guides the opportunity to think out their community, increase global awareness, take part in community action work, and have an introduction to international adventures.
Throughout their participation, Guides are encouraged to explore local, national, and international issues affecting girls and young women, to take action to make change in their local community, and to carry out fundraising activities to support their involvement in the project.
I, Abigail Heppenstall have decided to support my involvement in the ICE project by completing a 150 mile distance. Made up of a 50 miles walking, 40 mile biking , 30 miles swimming and 30 miles canoeing from 1st April to 30th September 2019.
