Bhangra Dancers Association (BDA) is proud to launch its first bhangra competition for professional teams - "AJO BHANGRA PAYE" - DATE: Saturday, 19th October 2019 VENUE: The Great Hall, Queen Mary University, London, E1 4NS

As a charity in its infancy, we require support from the community to make this event the occasion it deserves to be - for the teams that are training hard to enter and for the entire bhangra dance scene in order to keep the art form alive here in the UK while build a strong network with international affiliations.

All funds raised will only be used towards the competition to support the bhangra teams who are participating as well as cover some of the running cost of the show.

We would also like to reward the bhangra teams for their continuous efforts in being committed to taking up the mantle of responsibility in preserving and handing the art form on to the next generation. Our commitment is for 60% of the raised funds to be given to the teams to help cover their costs. Remaining funds will go towards other costs such as venue, sound equipment, marketing flyers to promote the event etc.

Your kind donations will not only serve as a crucial vehicle to make Ajo Bhangra Paye a successful cultural event, but it will provide the means to bring together a cross-section of communities from the UK and around the world, right here in London.
