Okay thanks for coming to my page! Some of you probably know me for those who don‘t my Name is Aimee and im running the london marathon, now i was one of the lucky ones that got a place through the Ballot- 1 in 26 chance- now this means i could pick my charity if i wanted to ( lets face it if im running 26.2 miles i might as well do it for charity!) so im now going to tell you all about the charity i have chosen...THE PEAR TREE FUND!

The charity was set up in 1989 after two community nurses heard about a young man who was in danger of being admitted into hospital to die, against his and his family’s wishes, as he was unable to get the funding he needed to remain at home. Since then the charity has provided care for hundreds of patients at the cutlers hill surgery in halesworth and support for their friends and family in often very difficult times.

so I first heard about this amazing charity when i first started my Job at The Queens Head Bramfield, where Kate and Kev had chosen the charity as their charity of the year to support- as i learned more about the charity i knew i wanted to do something to help anyway i could! So here we are running a marathon to help these guys continue to do an amazing job!

So please guys- give what you can to this amazing cause- i will be posting regular updates on my training and journey as i do this!
