Please support our amazing and fearless 'Team of Abseilers' to raise the much-needed funds to continue the important work atToucan Diversity. Toucan is committed to providing essential disability equality and awareness training to strive for real inclusion for disabled people.
We are very pleased to be working with Toucan Diversity Training in the delivery of our disability awareness training to staff. The Toucan team are highly professional and knowledgeable in this area and the feedback from the staff attending has been very positive, rating highly both the delivery and content of the training provided.” – Dave Small University of Portsmouth, Equality & Diversity Manager.
George is an old friend of Madissa’s Family and is an experienced fundraiser. He helped Metoo ( now skylarks ) by tossing the coin at Wimbledon . He took part in the Rickshaw challenge raising a huge amount for BBC Children in Need . George also wrote and directed a musical that raised money for the Down’s syndrome Association. He is excited to rise ( literally ) to the challenge of abseiling the tower for inclusion to raise funds for Toucan Diversity .
We are so scared! We have been working hard on our fitness over the last few months to get ready to step over the edge and abseil this iconic building in Portsmouth.
We miss Madissa and don't know how we are getting through the days but we do, one day at a time. It is for you, Madissa that we will conquer our fear of heights so that we can keep your legacy going. We love you!
Tom is one of our accredited trainers delivering 'Autism Awareness'. We are so grateful that Tom is doing this Abseil for Inclusion for Toucan Diversity. He has worked with Madissa from the very beginning of her setting up the social enterprise.
I met the beautiful Madissa 15 years ago when she welcomed me to MeToo and Co (now Skylarks) with a beautiful smile. I will never forget her spirit and warmth. She was one of the main motivations for forming Skylarks to provide sanctuary for parents with children with special needs.
I did the abseil once before for Skylarks and Toucan and was happy to help such wonderful organisations.
Doing this again now to continue Madissa’s legacy and to remember the contribution she made to the inclusiveness agenda in the UK through the diversity training services of Toucan, a social enterprise she founded.
