I am aiming to create an Amphibian Conservation Assurance Center (ACAC) in the Ambositra/Antoetra areas of the central highlands in Madagascar to conserve the endangered Cowan's Mantella (Mantella cowani) species, by establishing a captive population with hope to either re-populate extinct localities or perform reintroduction projects to exsiting localities such as Antoetra etc.
The facility will also establish captive populations of other endemic anuran species for husbandry research, in an attempt to have a better understanding of the care required and ideal for captivity.

We are looking to establish more funding to help towards achieving this goal and looking for supporters for this cause. As ageed by ACSAM (A Conservation Strategy for the Amphibian of Madagascar), there should be a facility similar to Mitsinjo within each region with a specific flagship species.
