Story

So far in the Yorkshire Dales, our charity, Access the Dales, has been able to provide eight different wheelchairs for people with mobility disabilities to use to access places that would otherwise be inaccessible. We are now wanting to expand our fleet and get at least another two mobility scooters/chairs. As well as the chairs we also raise money to enable us to pay for groups of children with additional needs to come and experience the Yorkshire Dales. Last year we were able to take a party with visual impairment out on a walk through Ingleborough Nature Reserve. We also held our first Accessible Walking festival and around 200 people came on different days to enjoy a stile free walk in the Yorkshire Dales. We want to be able to do more of these kind of days. We do not charge for borrowing our chairs, but we ask - if it is possible, for a donation. We are grateful of any donation - big or small, as we believe is Access the Dales.
