Story

We are fundraising to cover tuition fees of 15 young people in Makeni, Sierra Leone who cannot afford to go to school due to loss of parents to the Ebola disease and financial difficulty. It only costs £80 to pay for one student's school fees, buy new uniform and school materials for 2 years! Such a small amount for us can make such a big difference in the current and future life of a young person living in Sierra Leone.

All the money raised goes directly to the cause through our project "Access to Education Sierra Leone". The project is run by three friends, Laura Petkute and Bella Mosselmans based in the UK who have both been to Sierra Leone and work with their friend Mohamed Bangura who is living in Makeni, Sierra Leone. Mohamed works with his community to find the kids most vulnerable and in need of support and we fundraise money to cover the school costs of these kids. Since the start of the project we have already helped 106 students back into school and working to help more.

Start of March we are once again returning to Sierra Leone with aims of providing these funds to the students in person and making a documentary film with Luke Glover, a London based film-maker who has been very supportive of our project. We are all very excited about this and very thankful for any support in helping us help those who are in need of it!
